Face to face sessions may be the preferred choice for you, away from home in a neutral space where you can feel comfortable and at ease, which can enhance the communication between client and counsellor.
Based in our garden, The Garden Room is a comfortable and calming space surrounded by the relaxing sights and sounds of nature which can allow stress and anxiety to dissipate. This can enable our relationship to develop and deepen, a crucial part of our work together. The two water features are not only relaxing for us but encourages wildlife to drink and bathe; the running water also muffles our voices allowing us to sit in the garden itself whilst ensuring our words remain private.
Sparham is 1 mile from Bawdeswell, 2 miles from Lenwade, 3 miles from Reepham, 7 miles from Dereham and exactly halfway between Norwich and Fakenham on the A1067.
Being with nature can provide a deeper therapeutic experience by providing a more calming, stress free environment which can allow a more open session.
For those of you that prefer the outdoors, I am able to offer Walk and Talk sessions around the village of Sparham (a very gentle walk), Foxley Woods (with the exception of Thursdays) or Sparham Pools (this one requires a good level of fitness).
You will need to have suitable attire as the walk and talk happens in all weathers.
You may find being in the presence of another person overwhelming, leaving you feeling uncomfortable or vulnerable. If so Zoom may be a safer alternative for you. The screen may help you feel safe and protected which can allow you to be open and present during the session. Zoom sessions still run with the same boundaries as meeting in person.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes and costs £40 during the hours of 9am-5pm.
I also offer limited evening sessions from 5pm to 9pm which cost £50.
I have limited concessional prices for students and members of the farming community. Please contact me for further details.
